Direct Primary Care
At Walking Tree Family Practice, we offer affordable, accessible healthcare through our Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership, which includes extended visits, personalized care, and direct communication with your provider. Our goal is to help you manage your healthcare costs by choosing affordable medications and tests. We’ve partnered with lab and imaging centers to provide lower pricing for our patients, and Dr. Bessie Fairbairn selects appropriate low-cost prescriptions to ease affordability. Membership is a 12-month plan with a monthly flat fee and a one-time nonrefundable enrollment fee of $75. Your first month is free if you pay for the entire year upfront.

What if I have health insurance that is out-of-network with your office?
No problem! You can still use your health insurance to pay for medical care costs such as blood work, imaging, or hospital visits.
What if I have insurance you are contracted with?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept you into our Direct Care membership options. But have no fear, you can still have the same access with little to no co-pay.
How many visits do I get a year?
As many appointments as you need! We often have availability for same-day or next-day visits during regular office hours. Additionally, we offer televisits to accommodate your scheduling needs.
Is there a discount for Families?

What does "unlimited direct Communcation" with the provider mean?
As a member, you can message your medical team anytime through your Health Portal for non-emergency questions or updates. You should get a response within 48 hours. In case of urgent medical attention, contact 911 or an urgent care center. For complex questions, set up a medical appointment to speak to your provider.
What services are included in the membership?
Unrestricted office visits, urgent care, telemedicine, comprehensive care, medication management, physical exams for school/sports, wound care, EKG, and discounted services with membership. Some services may require discounted laboratory fees.

Is there a cancellation fee?
There is no cancellation fee, but we will require a 30-day written notice. Any excess funds paid after this period will be refunded.
It’s important to note that to maintain our low membership fees, a re-enrollment fee will be necessary upon rejoining.
Should I join if I am healthy?
I definitely would! Primary Care’s number one goal is to prevent future illness. By being proactive rather than reactionary, we can make sure you stay happy and healthy. Also, urgent issues can arise at any time. With us, you won’t have those long wait times at an Urgent Care.
