Dr. Fairbairn was thorough and attentive to detail from the physical exam to taking my health history. Nice to have someone focus on the patient and not on a computer screen. The convenience of the in house blood draw and EKG was so appreciated. The office visit was great. I never felt rushed. During an excellent physical evaluation Dr. Fairbairn detected a heart disturbance that was confirmed on an in house EKG machine. She also drew blood samples to send to a lab for analysis. Dr. Fairbairn referred me to an imaging facility for further analysis. Importantly, Dr. Fairbairn followed up with phone calls to discuss lab results and to make sure I got my imaging referral schedule. Walking Tree Family Practice gets five stars! They are professional, great listeners, and generally care. They provide excellent communication, care, and actually treat you like a person. They don’t treat you like your a number but yet a person who matters. Once you go once, you will not want to see any other provider again. I know I don’t. They are the best and Bessie is by far one of the most knowledgeable medical professionals I have met. If she doesn’t know the answer then she will figure it out. D25 August 2025Dr. Fairbairn is amazing. I feel like she saved my life. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment scheduled within a few days of calling the office. She took her time to listen to me about the symptoms I had. Within a week of the recommended treatment after all my blood work came back I was feeling like myself again. It had been many years since I was feeling like I might not wake up. Now, I feel great! Everyone should go here and take their family and friends because the office is very relaxing, and they are respectful of your appointment time which I appreciate. Not to mention, Dr Fairbairn takes the time to listen and is never in a rush. Finding a doctor that's able to do this is more difficult than I expected. I found Doctor Bessie and she was able to do this physical and she scheduled me right away. I was impressed that she knew the subject matter and terminology without me having to explain supplied air respirators or PAPRs or spirometry. She knew and understood what I needed, she handled all necessary tests and I had my clearance the following day. Beyond that, both her and her staff seem like nice, relatable, friendly sort of people; the kind of people you'd like to have as friends or neighbors. After seeing how personable the team was, I quickly changed over my primary care to Dr. Fairbairn. Whereas before, I felt anxious going to the doctor because they were always rushed, now I don’t feel that way anymore because I know I’ll get what I need. This is huge for me. Ruth Voss30 October 2023After 30 days at Advent Health, my mother (83yrs) was told it was time for Hospice to come. She came to live with me, so I could help care for her. We had the privilege of getting home visits from Dr. Bessie Fairbairn. There was no need for Hospice and mom made a complete recovery! I truly believe it was due to the extra care from Dr. Fairbairn. She listened to what our needs were and helped to find what worked for mom. Between juggling prescriptions with the pharmacy, other dr visits, insurance issues, caring for someone 24/7, Dr. Fairbairn’s role was by far the best experience we have ever had. She is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and as mom always says, she is pretty. She is pretty inside and out and has made a huge impact on my family and she will always hold a special place in our hearts! Her bedside mannerisms were top notch and exactly what we were needing!
